Services Thurs. for O.J. Woiwod

Otto J. Woiwod, 69, passed away suddenly at his home early Monday morning. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Thursday, Dec. 12, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Pastor M. A. Marquardt will officiate, using Psalm 25:16:18 as his text.

The congregation will sing “The Lord Is My Shepard” and “Jesus, Thy Blood and Righteousness” accompanied by Mrs. W. G. Boehnke.

Internment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City. Reuben Grell, Milton Bohn, Orville Woiwod, Eugene Woiwod, Fredrick Bell and Norman Henschen will serve as pallbearers.

Otto J. Woiwod, son of Carl and Anna (Schichka) Woiwod was born on a farm in Concord Township on Sept. 21, 1894. Since his marriage he has lived on a farm just across the road from where he was raised.

Surviving are his wife Lula; three sons, Ronald and Ernest, Garner, and Laurice of Clear Lake; four grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. L. A. (Lena) Grell, Ventura, and Mrs. Anna Bohn, Garner; three brothers, Carl and Alfred of Garner and William of Sun City, California.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Frank, Walter and Edward, and one sister, with died at age of four.
